‘Som Bom Magnifico’ is the new single from Das Koolies, who are also gearing up to release their second album. It’s a swirling, euphoric piece of electronica that blends bleary synths that shift and unfold with a tight, straight drum beat. The vocals above are playfully delivered and sent through a variety of trippy effects. “Hindsight and rose-tinted glasses,” they explain. “It’s a song about a time when it was normal to order a veggie breakfast in hotels as a concession to a healthier lifestyle, then following up by requesting to see the ‘Breakfast Wine Menu’.” Keep an eye out for the release of the album, Pando, on May 9th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
